Role overview
The Student Experience role focuses on how students interact with Falah at every stage. This includes first contact, the application process, and post-award support. The objective is to ensure processes are clear, fair, and student-centered. This role is intended for someone who has recently graduated and has first-hand experience navigating university systems, scholarships, and early career pathways within the Muslim community.
Responsibilities
- Review and improve the scholarship application and review process
- Support communication with applicants and recipients
- Collect and synthesize student feedback
- Identify points of confusion, friction, or inequity
- Work with the core team to implement process improvements
- Ensure consistency and professionalism in student-facing materials
Required skills
- Recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program
- Strong written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to think critically about fairness and accessibility
- Professional and reliable communication style
Ideal skills
- Experience applying for scholarships, grants, or competitive programs
- Familiarity with student services or advising environments
- Comfort reviewing forms, workflows, and written materials
- Ability to give clear, constructive feedback
What success looks like
- Students clearly understand how to apply and what to expect
- Fewer clarification requests from applicants
- Positive feedback regarding fairness and clarity
