Core Team Member: Access & Mentorship

Role overview

The Access & Mentorship role focuses on building and maintaining meaningful connections between students and mentors. The goal is to ensure mentorship within Falah is structured, respectful, and genuinely useful.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment and onboarding of mentors
  • Coordinate mentor and student matching
  • Maintain regular communication with mentors and students
  • Track engagement and identify issues early
  • Identify gaps in access across schools, industries, or backgrounds
  • Improve mentorship processes over time

Required skills

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Comfort communicating with professionals and students
  • Reliability and responsiveness
  • Ability to manage multiple conversations and timelines

Ideal skills

  • Prior experience in mentorship, peer advising, or leadership roles
  • Familiarity with professional or alumni networks
  • Experience using basic tracking tools such as spreadsheets or CRMs

What success looks like

  • Mentors and students are matched effectively
  • Mentorship relationships remain active
  • Participants report meaningful guidance and value
